Gus was born in Appleton, Wisconsin and has lived in the Village of Fox Crossing, formerly known as Town of Menasha, his entire life. He is a first generation Wisconsinite and ensures both of his parents (both originally from Michigan) never forget that.
Gus attended Neenah Joint School District from kindergarten through graduation. His education continued both at University of Wisconsin - Fox Valley in Menasha and Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) in Grand Chute where he received his associate's degree as an Information Systems Security Specialist. He was one of the first graduates to ever complete this new program at FVTC.
Gus has worked for various local companies including Festival Foods, Community First Credit Union, ThedaCare, and most recently NOVO Health Technology Group as an Epic Analyst.
Gus has also been involved in local groups such as Fox River Hurling Club where he served as General Manager for two years. He found his passion for hurling, the national sport of Ireland, while studying abroad in the Emerald Isle as part of the FVTC International Professional Field Study & Language Immersion program.
Gus has always had a passion for politics but really began to shine in 2020 when he became the campaign manager for the current State Representative Rachael Cabral-Guevara. He also played a pivotal part in the campaign for now State Representative Elijah Behnke during the special election in spring 2021. Since then, Gus co-founded the most active political movement in his home county known as Winnebago County for Freedom; this group has had the most success on the grassroots level since the Tea Party.
